A Love Letter...
It has taken a number of years for me to realize just how much fashion and the creative expression behind it, means to me. I have spent God knows how many hours pouring over issues of Vogue and Russh, learning to familiarize myself with the characteristics of designers like Christopher Bailey and Karl Lagerfeld. Learning how to pronounce brands like Givenchy and Balenciaga. And above all learning to appreciate the wonderful details of designs by Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Miuccia Prada. It has been a long and meaningful journey of discovery and has helped me establish my own fashion identity.
I know no satisfaction like the one I feel after putting together a particularly excellent outfit, except perhaps the satisfaction of finding an amazing piece of clothing that seems like it was made just for me. Fashion primarily inspires happiness and creativity within me.
It is with bated breath and as much patience as I can muster, that I wait for the day when my relationship with fashion can stop being one sided and I can afford my very own Channel handbag, Burberry trench coat and Judith Leiber gown. Until then I amuse myself with blogs, magazines and fantasies.

It was her hair!!!

It's been quite some time since my last post and I suppose a belated "merry Christmas and a happy new year" is in order. I hope everyone had a nice time like I did during these holidays.
but now, I have some news to share:
I've been wanting to do something different with my hair for a while now, but I only got the courage to actually buy some hair dye a couple days ago. Nonetheless it finally happened, with the help of my friend and my sister, I dyed the ends of my hair purple!!!! Yay! Woohoo!
Anyway...I really love it and I'm so glad I did it!

ho ho ho
Going to stay in Melbourne with my sister for the few days before Christmas, this is what I'll be wearing.
It'll be good to get out of the house, because so far all I've accomplished these holidays is to re-watch the first season of True Blood (which is awesome but I need to spend time with real people) and read a couple chapters of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley for school.
Hopefully staying at my sister's house will make me feel like I'm getting more done, even if I'm not...

it's been a while
It's been a while since I last updated this here blog. I suppose I've been busy, but that's no longer the case now that I'm on summer holidays.
Even though the weather has been really bad (see above picture in which our road was flooded out!) I've still been enjoying the holidays so far, just sleeping in, reading (Frankenstein by Mary Shelley) and doing some Christmas shopping which is what I got up to today.
I really liked this outfit that I wore, mainly because I got to incorporate my new tights, shirt and headband.
What you can't really tell in any of the photos-especially the dark would be photographer one-is that I am wearing pearls to kind of go with the headband which reminded me of the beautiful headpieces they wore in the 1930's, the lacy tights also play into that particular theme, but the denim shirt tied everything together and kept it nice and casual.
As for the Christmas shopping I've now bought all the presents I set out to get, all that's left to do is wrap them :)
