Pretty Girls make Graves

My friend and I went and saw a movie together yesterday (the Hunger Games) and this is what I wore: I have finally gotten around to watching Twin Peaks and it is amazing! It is also the reason why my outfit consisted of a plaid skirt and loafers...

Cartoon Characters That I Wish Were Real So That They Could Be My Boyfriend...

Philip J Fry from Futurama: Fry is a delivery boy living in New New York in the future. Though that may not make him sound like he's "going places" with his life, I know that he is super sweet and would therefore make a good boyfriend in real life because of how he treats Leela. Leela is a purple-haired cyclops who has an on again/off again relationship with Fry in the show, but obviously if Fry weren't a cartoon and was my boyfriend, she would not exist. The only downside to Fry-as-my-human-boyfriend would be his tendency to get distracted way too easily by space missions (in outer space).

Trent Lane from Daria: Trent is the cool older brother of artist and high-schooler Jane Lane. The reason why I wish Trent was real/my boyfriend is because he plays in a band and what girl doesn't want to date a rock star. Admittedly Trent's band "Mystik Spiral" hasn't had it's big break yet, but as his girlfriend I'd still be really supportive of him...

Nathan Explosion from Metalocalypse: Nathan is appealing boyfriend material because, like Trent, he is in a band. unlike Trent, Nathan's metal band "Dethklok" has exceeded it's big break and is the 7th largest economy in the world. Basically he is super rich, call me superficial, but I see that quality in a potential boyfriend as a plus. If Nathan were real and he was my boyfriend however, I would have to hang out with his band mates all the time and listen to metal which is kind of a con.

The Night Circus

For Christmas my sister bought me a book called The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, I really enjoyed it particularly because the imagery of the all black-and-white circus was described so vividly. The novel spans over a number of years and follows the magical (literally) lives of Celia Bowen and Marco Alisdair, among other equally magical characters who are a part of a fantastical, dreamlike, travelling circus. Not only was The Night Circus a good read, it also inspired this outfit:

If you're looking for a book to read and enjoy fairy tales then I would recommend  The Night Circus.

We all have days when coming up for a name for a post is impossible

A few weeks ago I had my high school graduation, this is what I wore:

I was sort of aiming for a 1920's flapper look...

Now that school is over I have just been enjoying the warm weather and holiday cheer by doing basically nothing except watching tv shows (Misfits check it out it's awesome!) and reading (Faust by Robert Nye). Hope you're all enjoying this time of year as much as I am!

Guess what! Guess rhymes with Little Black Dress!!!

Holidays aren't what they used to be. It is meant to be spring but it has been raining buckets all day long, my days are meant to be whiled away doing nothing, but instead I have to study for lousy exams. Woe is me, but being in my last year of high school (forever!) is not all bad, for this weekend I have the perfect excuse to shop and not just shop, but to absolutely splurge on a dress and all kinds of accessories and shoes because after exams it's GRADUATION!!! YAY!!! WOO HOO!!!

Anyway...these here photographs are of myself wearing a fancy black velvet dress that I've had for a while but haven't worn much. These photos were taken when I was bored one night and had nothing better to do (except homework) than put on red lipstick and play dress up.

I Wear A Leather Jacket (because I'm a tough bitch!)

Today I went to a university open day- you know to prepare for my future and all- and it kind of depressed me a little bit let's face it change is always a bit overwhelming (I'm totally deep, I know), but after the open day I went to Seafolly and bought new bathers. They are 1950s style blue gingham and they are super cute! I can't wait to wear them when the weather gets nicer.
However, until then I will continue to wear outfits such as this one:

It turns out that this maroon t-shirt was one of the best purchases ever, because I have been waring it constantly and it's surprisingly versatile.

The tights are ones that I love but don't wear often enough, so it was nice to wear them today.

AND....

.....my lovely new bathers!!!!! yay!!!
